Cat Pictures In Real Life (or perhaps staged)….

Here’s a few pictures of the cats.  Normally, when they do something truly funny, we don’t have a camera.

When we do have a camera, they usually do nothing, until you are about to click the shutter – in which case they will move – suddenly.

Christmas is really fun for the cats.  After all, there is  more stuff to get into, and, every year we buy them catnip.  Unfortunately, over the years we have also learned that cats do not wait until Christmas morning to open their catnip presents – they tear into it immediately….

Boo-Boo traumatizes the good citizens of the Christmas Village!

They also really enjoy hanging out in Alice’s Christmas Village.

Alice will spend many, many days setting up the village to be “perfect”. The cats help Alice along the way by getting into her way, frequently, and knocking things down and, often, batting things onto the floor and then scampering after these tiny items, often skidding them across the floor and underneath furniture.

Then, the Cat Patrol arrives an summarily invades this new territory and they usually conquer specific areas which they then control for the entire season.

Of course, it’s not always “good times” with the cats. Oh no, they do have their share of misfortunes.

For example, just in the past few months, “Whittles” has developed a case of Feline Diabetes that led to Feline Ketoacidosis.

Giving Whitlles two shots of Insulin everyday isn’t so bad.  Nor, is it really bad to draw a drop of blood to gauge her sugar reading. What’s really bad is how she has manipulated this entire situation to make us wait on her hand and foot (paw, really).  She has trained us to be exceptionally dillgent medical, culinary and entertainment staff.
