Dateline: Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.  November 23, 2006

Carmen Louisa Clary, 80, of Sunny Isles Beach, originally from El Castillo in Northern Spain, passed away November 23, 2006.

She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Clary Williams and son-in-law Stephen Williams, of White Springs, Florida; her son, Wayne Garet Clary and daughter-in-law, Alice Walters-Clary; and her grand-children Jason Garet Clary and Justin Joseph Clary, of Miramar, Florida.

Carmen was married for 43 years to Fynis Garet Clary, a Pearl Harbor survivor of the United States Marine Corp, who passed away on January 10th, 1992. Carmen, fluent in Spanish, French and English, was a language instructor in Miami at the end of WWII, where she met Fynis, who was studying Spanish.

Before coming to the United States to attend college, Carmen lived in France, and later in Mexico after her family left Spain during WWII. Carmen was preceded in death by her older sister, Ana Mijares and brother Fernando Lipkau, both of Mexico City, Mexico. Carmen, Ana and Fernando were the children of the late Fernando and Pilar Lipkau.

Carmen will be greatly missed and forever loved and admired for her selflessness and un-conditional love for her family and closest friends.
